Dr. Viktor Yordanov graduated with honors from the Medical University – Sofia in 2000. In 2002, he successfully competed for a position and began working as an Assistant in Medical Genetics at “Maichin Dom” Hospital, Sofia. In 2004, he completed a training program in Ipswich, United Kingdom, and successfully validated his medical diploma.

Between 2006 and 2008, Dr. Yordanov was a doctoral student at the National Oncology Hospital in Sofia, where he developed a research project on colorectal cancer, which earned the first prize for a poster presentation at the 2006 Balkan Oncology Congress. He specialized in Radiology at the same hospital, completing his training in 2014. From 2014 to 2015, he successfully passed the USMLE Steps 1 and 2 for medical qualification in the United States. Since 2016, he has been working at the Radiology Department of “City Clinic Oncology Center,” Sofia. Dr. Yordanov has introduced advanced imaging techniques for breast cancer diagnosis, including various biopsy methods under imaging guidance, establishing the clinic as a reference center in Bulgaria for complex diagnostic cases in breast cancer.

As a radiologist, Dr. Yordanov’s primary clinical interests lie in mammology, focusing on the prevention and early detection of breast cancer, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), contrast-enhanced mammography, and digital breast tomosynthesis. He has completed imaging courses across Europe, including the Breast Academy by GE in Oxford, UK (2017), as well as specialized MRI training on contrast-enhanced mammography with EUSOBI in Malmö, Sweden (2022) and Lisbon, Portugal (2024).

Dr. Yordanov actively participates in numerous lecture courses and congresses. He is the author or co-author of over 15 scientific publications in various international journals and has been a speaker at numerous national congresses.

He has received multiple awards from patient organizations and has been repeatedly recognized in initiatives such as “The Best Young Doctors” by Darik Radio and “Doctors We Trust” by the 24 Chasa newspaper in recent years. In 2020, he was honored as “Doctor of the Year” at Acibadem City Clinic – Mladost.
