Dr. Valkan Ivanov graduated in Medicine from the Medical University of Varna in 2002. From 2004 to 2010, he worked as an Assistant in General, Minimally Invasive, and Hepatobiliary Surgery at the Military Medical Academy (VMA) in Varna. In 2011, he obtained his specialization in General Surgery.

Since 2012, Dr. Ivanov has worked in the United Kingdom, where he has risen to the highest clinical hospital position in the UK and British Union countries—Consultant Surgeon. Until 2022, he served consecutively as a Consultant in Breast Surgery at Singleton Hospital (Swansea, Wales), Consultant in Oncoplastic Surgery at Royal Stoke University Hospital (Stoke-on-Trent, West Midlands, England), and Consultant in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery at Princess Alexandra Hospital (Harlow, Essex, England) and Oxford University Hospitals.

Since 2017, Dr. Ivanov has worked both in the UK and abroad at hospitals such as Oxford University Hospitals, John Radcliffe Hospital, and Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust in Harlow, Essex.

Currently, he is part of the team at the City Clinic Medical Centre, SХBAL Prof. Temelkov, and Healan Care 4 Varna.

Dr. Ivanov is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the Medical Protection Society of the United Kingdom, the British Medical Association, and the Bulgarian Medical Association.
